How a Kid or Teen Can Get in Shape For Basketball Season

Hey Kids and Teens, I'll show you how and more physical team that best fits your basketball this fall. Everyone wants his team to the best in basketball you have to be competitive, but not overly aggressive, in good shape, be able to resist bruises you got to play basketball, and above all is a good teammate and a good your team team play for your coach (this will help youMinutes are possible).

The first step on the path to be the best for your team in the gym and lifting weights to help build muscle strength and muscle definition. lifting weights can seem a difficult task, but with a little help from your father you can build a strength training program in less than 10 minutes. It 'also very important to stick to this plan of weight training for basketball season and beyond in order to prepare for the nextseason.

Some weight training tips that I have to offer are:

1) only lift weights on the same muscle every other day and on the days you aren't lifting weights for that muscle lift weights for another muscle.
2) Before lifting weights always stretch and get your heart rate up this helps your muscles to grow faster and bigger.
3) Don't start off with lifting 40 pound weights! Start small and work your way up as your muscles grow.
4) Stop lifting weights once your muscles are exhausted.
5) If you're going to focus on upper body strength then lift weights for your biceps and triceps don't just lift for one because your arm is going to look unbalanced and very strange. Hope those tips help in your weight training endeavors!

Why does having good upper-body strength matter? Well, if you're a forward or center then you're rebounding and down low skills are helped a lot because you can force the ball back up using your strength or bring it back down for a rebound using your strength. If you're a guard then you can have a better mid range or 3-point shot using your strength to put it in the basket and you can steal better (this is a very important component to have on a basketball team)

Why does having good lower-body strength matter? Well, it will help you jump higher for rebounds or jump higher to get shots over the taller defender that can block your shot in a heartbeat.

The second step is being able to run back and forth a lot. You can practice this by going to your local gym and sprinting around the track a couple times or sprinting around your block a few times. Any of these ways will help your endurance tremendously. It is important to be able to run fast because if you can beat your man then you have a very clear path on your road to success.

I hope you learned a lot about taking care of your body and how to become the best on your team this fall. I wish you nothing but the best in your upcoming
